The origin of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso model lives up to the myth: the reversible case was designed for polo players during the British colonial regime in India in order to protect the dial of their watches from the rigors of this sport at a time when sapphire crystals did not exist.
This iconic model ultimately established itself as an art object representative of the Art Deco period.
