After his father&rsquo;s death, he was placed under the tutelage of his uncle, a professional jeweler, who introduced him to the craft. Pierre Sterl\u00e9 began working for other jewelers. In 1934, he opened his own workshop on Rue Sainte Anne in Paris, then in 1945 moved upstairs to 43 Avenue de l&rsquo;Op\u00e9ra. From 1934 to 1939, he created jewelry for brands such as Boucheron.
